Man found unconscious after fight outside downtown Lincoln bar, police say

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Police are investigating an early Saturday morning assault at a bar in downtown Lincoln.
Around 1 a.m., officers were sent to Barry’s Bar near Ninth and Q streets on a report of an assault.
Officers found a 28-year-old man, who was unconscious in front of the bar, police said.
Witnesses reported that the victim was punched and had fallen to the ground.
They said the assault stemmed from an argument between the victim and another man about wanting to get back inside the bar after being escorted out.
The assailant left the area by the time officers arrived.
Police said the victim was taken to a hospital where he was admitted for a brain bleed.
An investigation is ongoing.
