Man gets prison for stealing two urns from Grand Island Cemetery

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A man was sentenced Monday after stealing two urns from the Grand Island Cemetery.
Richard Boon, 35, was sentenced to eight to 15 years in prison.
The theft was reported on May 23 at the cemetery near Webb and Stolley Park roads.
Police said Boon took two urns – each containing cremated human remains – and a decorative floral vase from a mausoleum.
Boon’s car was found five days later with evidence of the theft in his vehicle.
He pleaded guilty to burglary and removal of a body.
