Man held woman hostage for three hours at Lincoln home, police say

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A man is accused of domestic assault after holding a woman hostage at a home in Lincoln on Monday, police say.

Around 4:30 a.m., officers responded to an assault near 47th and South streets.

Officers initially couldn’t find the victim, according to LPD.

Just after 10:45 a.m., the victim called again and reported that 35-year-old Carl Miller, whom she knew, held her hostage for three hours.

The victim was also assaulted and had injuries on her head, police said.

With the help of the Fugitive Task Force, Miller was taken into custody.

He was arrested on suspicion of assault by strangulation, third-degree domestic assault and second-degree false imprisonment.
