Man helped hide Lancaster County fugitive from authorities, sheriff’s office says

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A Lincoln man was arrested Wednesday after authorities say he aided a fugitive in evading arrest.
Capt. John Vik with the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office said investigators determined through security video that Kyle Maughan, 30, was helping a wanted fugitive.
The fugitive is on the sheriff’s office’s most wanted list.
Maughan was giving rides to the fugitive, while also helping them evade authorities, according to Vik.
Deputies arrested Maughan at a home in Lincoln on suspicion of assisting a fugitive.
“Our investigators work very hard to try and keep these people off the streets,” Vik said. “And we will also pursue people that are assisting them.”
