Man hid in backyard after fleeing Grand Island traffic stop, police say
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A man tried evading officers Tuesday by hiding in the backyard of a Grand Island home, police say.
Around 2:15 p.m., Ethan Englehardt crashed his vehicle after Hall County deputies tried pulling him over near Wasmer Elementary School.
Englehardt ran away without providing any information, police said. Officers found him hiding in a nearby backyard, and he fled again.
A school safety officer at Wasmer Elementary subdued Englehardt until officers took him into custody.
He was arrested on suspicion of possession of meth.
