Man hospitalized after overnight shooting in north Lincoln

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — The Lincoln Police Department is investigating an overnight shooting in north Lincoln.

Around 2:30 a.m. Sunday, officers were called to an area hospital on the report of a shooting.

A 38-year-old Lincoln man said he was leaving a business in the area of 27th and Theresa streets when he heard a series of gunshots.

As he was running away, LPD said he fell down and realized he had been shot in the leg.

He was taken to the hospital by a private vehicle with non-life threatening injuries.

The investigation is ongoing and no arrests have been made at this time.
