Man hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after house fire in Hastings

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Crews battled a house fire in Hastings early Sunday morning.
Just after 6 a.m., Hastings Fire & Rescue was called to a home near West Ninth Street and Briggs Avenue.
Officials said the fire was under control in 20 minutes, but the house sustained significant damage.
A man was rescued from the house, and lifesaving efforts were performed on the scene, according to the fire department.
He was taken to Mary Lanning Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
