LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A man was arrested Friday after a “fishy situation” at a DMV building in Lincoln, police say.

Around 3 p.m., Joseph Schrader walked into the new DMV near Northwest First Street and Highland Boulevard.

Police said Schrader started throwing fish and carrots inside the DMV, which officially opened just a few hours prior.

He caused an estimated $9,000 in damage, according to police.  The building’s carpet and ceiling tiles sustained most of the damage.
