Man kicked officer’s face after disturbance in downtown Lincoln, police say
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A man kicked an officer’s face early Sunday morning in downtown Lincoln, police say.
Around 2:30 a.m., officers patrolling near 14th and P streets saw a disturbance between two groups in front of Raising Cane’s.
Police said an assault was reported, and an officer spoke with 21-year-old Jecory Harris, who “did not comply with multiple lawful orders.”
While being taken into custody, Harris “violently” kicked an officer on the side of his face, nose and cheek, according to LPD.
Harris was arrested on suspicion of third-degree assault on an officer, resisting arrest, disturbing the peace and obstructing a peace officer.
