LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — One man was killed Monday in a two-vehicle crash in central Nebraska.

The crash was reported about 6:30 a.m. at Nebraska Highway 92 and Second Road, which is about 20 miles north of Grand Island.

Two vehicles were going south on Second Road together and failed to stop at the stop sign, according to the Merrick County Sheriff’s Office.

One of the vehicles, a GMC Envoy, hit an eastbound semi that was hauling an empty trailer, the sheriff’s office said.

The driver of the GMC, 30-year-old Jesse Bonds of Colorado, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities said no one else was injured.
