Man killed when pickup crashes into west Lincoln creek

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A man died late Monday night after crashing into a west Lincoln creek.

About 10:20 p.m., first responders were sent to South Folsom Street near West Van Dorn Street, according to the Lincoln Police Department.

Police said a pickup truck left the road, rolled into a ditch and ended up in Haines Branch.

The driver, a 31-year-old Lincoln man, was pronounced dead at the scene.

No one else was in the pickup, police said.

South Folsom will be closed between High and Van Dorn streets while police investigate.
