Man killed when vehicle is shot up in Lexington

LINCOLN, Neb (KLKN) — A man was shot dead late Tuesday night in west-central Nebraska.

Police in Lexington said they responded to a report of a fight about 10:45 p.m.

But when they got to the home, officers found a man dead in a vehicle.

There were also numerous bullet holes in the windshield and front of the vehicle, according to the Lexington Police Department.

After gathering evidence at the scene and interviewing witnesses, police arrested 33-year-old Aristh Rodriguez Linares of Lexington.

He was booked in the Dawson County Jail on suspicion of first-degree murder, use of a weapon to commit a felony and discharging a firearm into a vehicle or person.

Police said the victim’s name is being withhold until his family is notified.

An autopsy has been scheduled for later this week.
