Man on probation tried headbutting deputy in northeast Nebraska, sheriff says

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A man was arrested Friday after deputies investigated a theft near Norfolk.

The Stanton County Sheriff’s Office said deputies were called around 7:45 p.m. about a theft at a home near Highway 35.

After an investigation, deputies found the stolen property and arrested 37-year-old Zachary Price.

During the arrest, Price became aggressive, which led to deputies using a Taser.

Once in handcuffs, Price tried headbutting a deputy, Sheriff Mike Unger said.

Price was later medically cleared at a nearby hospital before he was jailed.

He was on probation for theft and felony drug possession at the time of his arrest, according to Unger.
