Man robbed after being stabbed in north Lincoln neighborhood, police say

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A man’s wallet was stolen Sunday after being stabbed in a north Lincoln neighborhood, police say.

Around 9 p.m., the victim was walking home near North 11th Street and Furnas Avenue when a man ran up and struck him in the head.

Police said the man — who was wearing a black ski mask — then stabbed the victim in the back, puncturing his right lung.

The man grabbed the victim’s wallet before running away, according to LPD.

The victim was taken to a hospital to treat the stab wound.

Police began an investigation into the case after the victim arrived at the agency’s headquarters on Monday morning to take care of a warrant.

During an interview, officers saw blood on his hand, according to police.
