LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A second person has been arrested in an attack on a teenage girl after a crash near downtown Lincoln.

Jaquan Sidney, 20, was charged Thursday with robbery. A judge set his bond at $50,000.

On April 12, a 17-year-old was involved in a minor crash with a pickup truck at the U-Stop near 21st and K streets.

She tried to exchange information, but police said instead, the other driver demanded that she pay her $300.

The teen refused, and the two took pictures of each other’s license plates.

She left the gas station, but court documents say the pickup started following her.

The girl pulled into a parking lot, and three people got out of the pickup.

Police said the driver, 19-year-old Charlissa Lasley, punched the teen in the face, knocking her to the ground and making her glasses fall off.

While the victim was down, Lasley kept punching and kicking her, according to an arrest affidavit.

Another woman then joined in on the assault, police said.

Meanwhile, Sidney was recording the assault on a cellphone and told the women to “take her bag,” the affidavit says.

The teen was able to hold on to her purse, but the assailants stole her vehicle key fob, according to the affidavit.

Police said the girl went to an emergency room with superficial lacerations, bruising and swelling on her face.

Lasley is due back in court on May 21, and Sidney’s next hearing is scheduled for June 4.

Police are still looking for the third assailant.
