Police are looking for a stolen car, and the man driving it, after it was stolen from Cornhusker Highway near N. 27th street.
Police said a 20-year-old woman reported she was driving east on the highway when she came to a stop behind a white PT Cruiser with Iowa plates.
The driver of the PT Cruiser got out and approached her and told her he needed a jump-start and she needed to pull ahead of him so she could jump his car. She told him she felt uncomfortable doing that in heavy traffic so he offered to position the car for her.
So he got into the car and drove off, leaving her in the middle of the street.
Officers found the vehicle and tried to stop it, but weren’t successful.
They are still looking for him. The victim described him as a black male in his 40’s, weighs 220 pounds and is bald. He was wearing black shirt and jeans.
The vehicle is a 2014 White Toyota Corolla with the license plate 9-A9092.
