Man scalped in downtown Grand Island, police say
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Grand Island Police Department is investigating the scalping of a 25-year-old man early Sunday morning.
Police were called to Third and Walnut streets just before 1 a.m. on reports of an unconscious male.
Officers found first responders tending to the victim. There was a pool of blood in the area where he fell, police said.
Officials said the victim was missing a piece of his scalp on the back of his head.
He was transported to St. Francis Medical Center for further treatment.
There are no suspects at this time.
