Man sent to prison for trafficking 27 pounds of meth in Nebraska

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A 30-year-old man will spend more than a decade in prison after Nebraska authorities intercepted his meth delivery.
Jose Emmanuel Hernandez-Gomez of Mexico was sentenced Friday to 11½ years in prison for trafficking methamphetamine, the U.S. Attorney’s Office said.
The case began on May 8, 2021, when a York County deputy pulled over a vehicle carrying 27 pounds of meth.
Investigators determined that the meth was being delivered to an address in Omaha.
So an undercover officer finished the job and took the meth to the address, authorities said.
Hernandez-Gomez came out of the home and gave the officer $6,000 in exchange for the meth. He was immediately arrested.
U.S. District Judge Robert F. Rossiter Jr. also sentenced Hernandez-Gomez to five years of post-prison supervised release. There is no parole in the federal system.
