Man Sentenced On Robbery Conviction

A Lincoln man convicted of robbing a local bank last year has been sentenced to more than 17 years in federal prison.

A federal judge Tuesday sentenced 53-year-old Michael Ealey to serve 212 months in prison for the robbery and violating terms of his supervised release.

A news release from the U.S. Attorney's Office in Omaha says Ealey robbed a Westgate Bank branch in Lincoln in July 2008.

At the time, he was on supervised release for a bank robbery committed in 2000.

At his sentencing Tuesday, a judge also ordered Ealey to pay more than $8,300 in restitution.

He also must serve four years of supervised release following his prison term.
