LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A Hickman man is facing several felony charges in the sexual assault of a 12-year-old girl.

Joshua Brokering, 42, was charged Tuesday with three felonies, including first-degree sexual assault of a child.

The Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office received a report of the assault on Friday, according to an arrest affidavit.

Brokering had inappropriately touched the girl at his home in Hickman, the affidavit alleges.

Later that day, deputies found him at his mother’s home and took him into custody.

A Lancaster County judge set Brokering’s bond at $750,000 on Tuesday.  He paid $75,000 to be released from jail, according to court records.
