Man shot by authorities at north Lincoln Casey’s charged with 10 felonies
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A man is facing several felony charges in a shootout at a northwest Lincoln Casey’s.
Michael Glaser, 45, was arraigned Thursday on 10 felony charges, including first-degree false imprisonment and four counts of using a firearm to commit a felony.
A Lancaster County judge set Glaser’s bond at $1 million. He must pay $100,000 to be released from jail.

Around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Glaser walked into Casey’s at Northwest 12th Street and West Cornhusker Highway and set a gun on the counter, the Lincoln Police Department said.
The sheriff’s office said the incident was “domestic related.”
Court documents say Glaser received a text message from his wife while she was working at the Casey’s that day, saying she wanted to end the relationship.
After blocking his number, she left at the end of her shift, according to the documents.
Police said Glaser showed up at the store later that evening looking for her.
Glaser shot at the first officer who arrived, according to Police Chief Michon Morrow. That officer returned fire.
Two more officers and a Nebraska State Patrol trooper arrived shortly after and continued exchanging gunfire, officials said.
Two employees who were still inside the store barricaded themselves in a back room during the shootout.
Glaser was eventually shot in the upper chest before the SWAT team took him into custody.
No officers, customers or employees were injured.
Glaser’s next court date is set for May 7.
