Man stabbed as robber tries to take mouth grill, other items

Lincoln Police say a 27-year-old man is in serious condition after being stabbed during a robbery. 

It happened Thursday morning near 27th and Vine Street just after midnight Thursday. 

LPD says someone tried to steal the man’s watch, wallet and mouth grill, and may have made off with around $500 in cash. 

During the robbery, the victim was stabbed in the abdomen. 

The victim was later found in a nearby McDonald’s bathroom. 

Police say the man is in serious condition, but his injuries are not considered to be life-threatening.
