Man stabbed while riding in car

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN)- On Thursday, October 21st just after 2pm., police were called to the area of 48th and Dudley on a stabbing. Upon arrival, no one was found.
A short time later, a 34-year-old man arrived at a local area hospital with stab wounds. The victim reported that while riding as a passenger in a vehicle, he was stabbed in the torso several times by another male passenger whom he did not know.
After interviewing witnesses, officers developed 32-year-old Jacob Hodgdon as the person responsible. Hodgdon had fled from the vehicle after the incident, but left the knife believed to be used in the vehicle the victim arrived at the hospital in.
Hodgdon was located in the area of 44th and Madison around 2:30 p.m. and was taken into custody without incident. He was found to be a convicted felon prohibiting him from possessing a deadly weapon
Hodgdon was arrested for 2nd Degree Assault, Use of a Weapon to Commit a Felony, and Possession of a Deadly Weapon by a Prohibited Person.
The victim remains hospitalized with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
