Man stole city vehicle at north Lincoln gas station, police say

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A man took a city vehicle for a joyride Tuesday, police say.
About 9:30 a.m., a Wastewater Division employee left a vehicle unlocked at a Kwik Shop near 27th Street and Cornhusker Highway.
Police said while the worker was in the store, 56-year-old Don Steinshouer got in the vehicle and drove off.
The vehicle had a GPS device, so law enforcement tracked it to the Sprague area.
Lancaster County deputies and Nebraska state troopers found the vehicle and took Steinshouer into custody.
He was arrested on suspicion of theft by unlawful taking and DUI.
Police said the vehicle was not damaged.
