Man stole over $3,000 in merchandise from Lincoln Dillard’s, police say

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A man was arrested in a late-night break-in at Dillard’s in Lincoln, police say.
Around 11:50 p.m. Sunday, officers responded to the store at Gateway Mall after an alarm went off.
Officers found that someone got into Dillard’s by shattering one of its glass doors, according to police.
Inside, they found a gray jacket lying on the floor.
An officer remembered that the jacket belonged to 24-year-old Scott Frankson, whom she had spoken to earlier that day, police said.
About 30 minutes later, officers found Frankson in the area and arrested him on suspicion of burglary.
He had $3,057 in stolen merchandise, including perfume, necklaces, a watch and flip-flops, according to police.
All of the stolen items were recovered.
Police said Frankson caused over $9,500 in damage to the business.
