Man uninjured after reportedly falling asleep at the wheel and driving into ravine

Officials say a 61-year-old man was uninjured after reportedly falling asleep at the wheel and driving his car into a ravine.
The Gage County Sheriff’s Office said deputies arrived at the intersection of Highway 8 and Highway 112 around 8 a.m. Sunday on reports of a vehicle in the ditch and a person walking around the area.
GCSO said Alan Murdock, of Barneston, was driving his Chevy Blazer when he reportedly feel asleep, ran off the road and came to a rest at the bottom of an approximately 25-foot-deep ravine.
GCSO said Murdock was not injured in the accident and was wearing a seatbelt.
