Around 5:20 a.m., officers were sent to European Grocery Store & Deli near 27th and Superior streets on a report of a burglary.

Witnesses saw a man, later identified as 20-year-old Deng Mengelkamp, jump through the deli’s glass front door, police said.

Officers later found Mengelkamp, who matched the description given by the witnesses, near Bel-Ridge Drive and Superior Streets.
