Man vandalizes vehicles after being kicked off train, Lincoln Police say

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A man was arrested Saturday after he smashed the windows of multiple vehicles with a shovel, Lincoln Police say.

Around 1:19 p.m., officers were sent to the train station near Pinnacle Arena Drive and Q Street on a report of a man vandalizing vehicles with a shovel.

When officers arrived, 22-year-old Anthony Williams told them he had been angry after being kicked off of an Amtrak train.

Officers found 11 vehicles with broken windows in the area.  One of them had the shovel still lodged in the back window.

Damages to the vehicles were estimated at around $7,500, according to police.

Williams, who is from Cincinnati, Ohio, was arrested on suspicion of criminal mischief.
