Man who died in northeast Lincoln crash is identified

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Police have identified the man killed Friday in a northeast Lincoln crash.
He was 63-year-old William Deckard of Lincoln, according to the police crash report.
The crash happened about 5:40 a.m. at 56th Street and Fletcher Avenue.

Deckard was driving south on 56th and failed to yield the right of way when he tried to turn left onto Fletcher, the report says.
His SUV was struck by a northbound vehicle, according to the Lincoln Police Department, and he died at the scene.
The other driver, also a Lincoln man, was taken to a hospital with minor injuries.
