Man who received 10 pounds of meth via mail in Omaha sentenced

A man has been sentenced after pleading guilty to meth distribution charges.

U.S. Attorney Joe Kelly announced that Jose Guzman-Ramirez will serve 10 years in prison for the felony offense.

Investigators with the Omaha DEA division and Douglas County Sheriff’s Office intercepted a FedEx delivery of packages that contained around 10 pounds of meth.

Investigators found the packages delivered to an Omaha home where Guzman-Ramirez and another defendant received them.

Officials seized the meth and more than $11,600 in cash.

Guzman-Ramirez agreed to an order of removal by U.S. immigration authorities after serving his criminal sentence.
