LPD: Man who swerved to hit Lincoln officer arrested

A man who Lincoln Police say swerved to hit an officer last week has been found and arrested.
LPD took Deanta Delarosa, 22, of Lincoln, into custody on Friday. Officer communicated with him through an intercom for about an hour before he came out of a home in the North Bottoms and was arrested.
Police said Delarosa, a parole violator, swerved his car intentionally to hit an officer last Wednesday. The officer had minor injuries following the incident.
Delarosa was arrested for operating a motor vehicle to avoid arrest and second-degree attempted assault of an officer.
