LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A man pulled a knife on two Lincoln restaurant workers Wednesday, police say.

Just before 1 a.m., an employee at Abelardo’s at 48th Street and Leighton Avenue called 911 to report that a man was chasing a woman.

The woman was yelling at the man to stop, according to police.

Two restaurant employees tried to help, but police said the man took out a knife and told them to mind their own business.

Officers found 41-year-old Christopher Bevard, who matched the caller’s description, in a nearby parking lot.

He had a pocketknife with a 3- to 4-inch blade in his backpack, according to the Lincoln Police Department.

Bevard was arrested on suspicion of possession of a deadly weapon by a prohibited person and two counts of terroristic threats.
