Man wounded in north Lincoln shooting

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A man was wounded by gunfire Sunday morning in north Lincoln, police say.

Shortly after 5 a.m., officers were sent near Knox and Portia streets on a report of a shooting.

They found a 47-year-old man who had been shot at least once, according to the Lincoln Police Department.

He was taken to a hospital with injuries that were serious but not life-threatening, police said.

No arrests have been made, but police think the shooter knew the victim.

The investigation is ongoing.
