‘Many turkeys were killed’ after semi rolls in Nebraska
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A semi full of turkeys rolled in Nebraska on Monday night, and a lot of them didn’t survive.
That’s according to the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office, which reports this happened near the Phillips exit.
Officials said, “The driver was transported to Grand Island for treatment and many turkeys were killed.”
The sheriff’s office hasn’t gone into detail about why the semi rolled or if anyone will be penalized.
It thanked Phillips Fire, Giltner Fire and Aurora Towing for wrangling the turkeys that lived.
