WATCH: Masked thieves break into Lincoln vape shop, cause $4,500 in damage

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A south Lincoln vape shop was burglarized Monday for the third time in just over a month.

Around 3:40 a.m., officers were sent to Generation V near 48th Street and Old Cheney Road after an alarm went off.

Officers found a door had been shattered by chunks of concrete, according to police.

Several glass display cases were also destroyed and vape products were scattered around the store, police said.

Security video captured two men wearing hooded sweatshirts and black masks damaging the doors and breaking into the store.

Police estimate the business had $4,500 in damage.  The company’s founder, Sarah Linden, said the duo stole about $2,000 to $3,000 worth of merchandise.

“The most frustrating part of all of this is that the stolen goods are likely being resold to minors, negating all the hard work we do to prevent minors from gaining access to our products,” Linden said in an email.

Last month, a person dressed in a Tigger costume broke into the same vape shop and took about $500 worth of items.

On March 13, a man used a brick to shatter Generation V’s window.  He stole about $300 in vaping products, police said.

An investigation is ongoing.  Anyone with information is asked to call police at 402-441-6000 or Crime Stoppers at 402-475-3600.
