Mayor Beutler announces interim fire chief

Lincoln has a new interim fire chief.
Mayor Chris Beutler appointed Lincoln Fire & Rescue Battalion Chief Tim Linke as the department’s interim fire chief. “
“I am honored to be asked by Mayor Beutler to serve as the Interim Fire Chief,” Tim Linke said. “I have immense respect for the men and women of the Lincoln Fire & Rescue, and look forward to serving the department as the search for the new fire chief proceed this summer.”
He will take over the post from Fire Chief John Huff, who is retiring after a 40-year career with Lincoln Fire & Rescue.
