Mayor Gaylor Baird announces staff appointments

Lincoln’s new mayor has announced appointments of several people to her team. 

Mayor Leirion Gaylor Baird appointed Dan Marvin as her administration’s Director of Urban Development. Marvin previously served on the City Council and Lincoln-Lancaster County Planning Commission, as well as the West Haymarket JPA and other official capacities. 

“Dan’s experience as a financial advisor, Council member, and a lead on the Pinnacle Bank Arena project equip him with skills to fill this role adeptly,”Gaylor Baird said in a press release. “He is exceptionally qualified, and I look forward to working with him.”

Marvin’s appointment requires approval by the City Council. 

Gaylor Baird also announced four mayoral aide appointments. They include Alyssa Martin, a Lincoln attorney, Jon Carlson, a former Beutler aide, as well as Adelle Burk and Kevin Cass, both of whom worked on Gaylor Baird’s campaign.
