Medicaid expansion supporters concerned about implementation

Amid a projected shortfall of nearly $100 million-Nebraska lawmakers now have to figure out how to pay for Medicaid Expansion.

It’s unclear whether Gov. Ricketts will include the measure in his new proposed budget.

Expansion funding could become a contentious debate in the legislature.

Ricketts also has to submit a request to the federal government to amend the state’s current Medicaid plan to include the additional 90,000 people that qualify.
