Meet Pepper and Bruce, available now at Capital Humane Society
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Bruce and Pepper, 10-week-old domestic shorthair kittens, are waiting patiently for their new owners to come and take them home.
Matt Madcharo, executive director of Capital Humane Society, brought them to the Channel 8 studio Wednesday and gave an update on what’s happening at the shelter.
Because it’s at capacity, the humane society is in need of towels and blankets for the animals, as well as laundry detergent.
It also needs volunteers to take care of the laundry duties.
Thanks to one donor, Mary Jo Livingston, the shelter is offering 50% off adoption fees for cats five months and older.
Next month, the humane society will host its Tails & Tees golf event.
Anyone hoping to join should find a four-person group and sign up here.
Tee-off begins at 9 a.m. on July 21.
