Mild conditions overnight, but storm chances return tomorrow
Widespread significant rain covered Nebraska last night through early this morning.
Much more rainfall will be needed throughout eastern Nebraska to bring the drought situation to an end.
Showers and thunderstorms are likely in the forecast Friday night, with a marginal risk of some being severe.
Lows overnight will be on the cool side but only slightly below normal.
Highs for Friday will be very close to normal.
Average daytime highs for the next ten days will be normal for early May.
An upper-level trough and cold front will move across Nebraska tomorrow afternoon and evening triggering thunderstorms that will linger into Saturday morning sa temperatures cool down with the passage of the front. A similar set-up arrives Sunday heading into Monday but without a cool down.
