Mild Temperatures, Evening Showers Possible
Forecast:
Temperatures will stay significantly cooler compared to the past several days as we head into Wednesday evening. Much of southeastern Nebraska saw temperatures around 20 degrees than yesterday afternoon.
There will be a small chance for extremely scattered showers this evening, with precipitation chances remaining low through the overnight hours for most.
Stormcast shows showers to the north of the Capital City this evening, no severe threat is anticipated with these storms.
Tonight’s showers look to add onto the rainfall totals that we saw from storms on Tuesday night and into Wednesday morning. Above are a few totals from across our area, with Lincoln seeing just shy of an inch of rain.
Mild temperatures ahead this evening as most of our area will see low temperatures in the middle and upper 60s. Mostly cloudy skies and a north-northeasterly breeze.
We will reach the upper 60s for a low tonight in Lincoln with mostly cloudy skies. A sprinkle or two will be possible late tonight and into early Thursday.
High temperatures on the last day in July will be well below average for this time of year in the upper 70s. Partly cloudy skies for southeast Nebraska with a stronger northeasterly breeze.
In Lincoln we will see highs in the upper 70s for Thursday. Breezy conditions from the northeast with gusts up to 20 miles per hour will be possible, joined by partly cloudy skies.
Temperatures remain below average for the first several days of August. After this evening, we will stay dry until the weekend when storm chances return on Sunday. Seasonable temperatures return towards the middle of next week.
