Mild through Sunday but storms return Monday
Significant rainfall throughout Nebraska last night and this morning
Fairly cool temperatures are expected overnight.
A nice warmup expected for Sunday as mild conditions continue.
The potential for severe thunderstorms returns this Monday.
After Monday’s storms conditions will remain warm and dry through next weekend and beyond with only slight chances Friday and the following Monday.
High pressure over Nebraska will bring us clearing skies and cooler conditions overnight followed by a nice warmup Sunday. By Sunday night a large upper level trough forms in the southwest part of the country as a leading shortwave pushes into Nebraska by Monday. A dryline set-up between 4 PM and midnight Monday means severe thunderstorms will be likely once again followed by much milder, warmer conditions on Tuesday and the week ahead.
