Mild today, but snow arrives tomorrow 12/9/2021
Temperature are starting to warm into the 50s across southeast NE with widespread sunshine. Your afternoon will start off sunny, but clouds will start to move in by the evening. Wind speeds will also pick up by the afternoon, resulting in a decent breeze. Highs are back above average today in the mid to upper 50s, and this will be the last above warm day this week! Temperatures will be much cooler tomorrow as a low pressure system moves through. Highs will only warm into the upper 30s tomorrow and a wintry mix will start off the first half of Friday.
A wintry mix is possible during the early afternoon in southeast NE, before we see a transition to snow during the late afternoon. Areas surrounding Lincoln likely won’t see snow really until the evening hours, while further west towards the Tri-Cities will see it sooner. Higher totals will fall the further north you go above I-80. South of I-80 will only see a trace to potentially a little over an inch in some spots.
