Milford and Lincoln North Star will make their championship game debuts Saturday

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Pinnacle Bank Arena hosted the semifinal games for the high school volleyball state tournament on Friday.

In Class C1, it was a battle between No. 6 Malcolm and No. 2 Milford.

Milford proved too much, weighing down the Clippers in three competitive sets.

The Eagles will play in their first-ever championship game.

Shayla Rautenberg had a team-high 15 kills and five digs while hitting .154. Kylie Jakub had 26 assists and 13 digs.

In Class B, it was a titanic clash between No. 4 Waverly and No. 1 Norris.

Nebraska commit Malorie Boesiger had 52 assists and nine digs for the Titans. TCU commit Kaelynn Lottman had 22 kills, 18 digs, and hit .273.

In Class A, No. 5 Omaha Westside took on No. 1 Lincoln North Star.

It was all Warriors in the first two sets, taking a 2-0 lead.

The Navigators, though, won a third-set thriller 28-26.

That win was all the Gators needed to fuel the comeback.

After a 15-13 fifth-set win, the team completed the reverse sweep to earn its first-ever state championship game bid.
