LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — An inmate was arrested Tuesday after disappearing from a correctional facility in Lincoln.

Obiomachuckuka Njokanma, 48, was taken into custody in Lincoln by the Metro Area Fugitive Task Force, authorities said.

She left the Community Corrections Center-Lincoln on Sunday and never came back, according to the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services.

The facility is a low-security prison where inmates are allowed to go to work, school or religious services with prior approval.

Njokanma is serving a six- to 10-year sentence for first-degree assault and terroristic threats.
