Missing Lancaster County man’s husband is ‘not a suspect,’ deputy says

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office provided an update Wednesday on the search for 35-year-old Tyler Goodrich.

Chief Deputy Ben Houchin said Goodrich’s husband, Marshall Vogel, is “not a suspect.”

“At no time has the sheriff’s office said Mr. Vogel is any type of suspect in the case,” he said.

Houchin previously said Goodrich’s husband, Marshall Vogel, and his family were no longer cooperating with the sheriff’s office in the search.

But Vogel’s attorney, Sanford J. Pollack, said Houchin’s statement is “absolutely false.”

Vogel was the last to see Goodrich at their home near Southwest 12th and Burnham streets on Friday around 7:45 p.m.

“Being married to him is the one person who would know him best, and that’s the reason why we continue to need to talk to him,” Houchin said.

The sheriff’s office is asking residents in the area near Goodrich’s home to “check their property.”

Anyone with information is asked to call the sheriff’s office at 402-441-6500 or dispatch at 402-441-6000.
