Missing Omaha inmate spent over a week on the run before capture in Lincoln

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A missing inmate is heading back to prison after he was caught in Lincoln on Thursday.

The Nebraska Department of Correctional Services said officers with the Lincoln Police Department arrested 36-year-old Michael Detty.

He went missing from the Community Corrections Center-Omaha on Aug. 7.

Detty was serving a minimum sentence of five years for possessing a stolen firearm and theft in Clay County.
