Missing person possibly killed when crashing into ravine in Omaha

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Omaha Police may have found a missing person dead inside a crashed vehicle on Tuesday.

The department says officers were called out to a crash at the off ramp near Interstate 680 and 72nd Street.

An investigation found that a Toyota Avalon came off the ramp, hit a tree and then fell into a ravine.

The driver was dead when officers arrived.

The vehicle is registered to Tranquilin Sanabria, who was reported missing in Iowa on June 30.

An autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday, and authorities hope to identify the driver then.
