LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A mother and daughter drug-dealing duo will spend the next several years behind bars, the U.S. Attorney’s Office says.

The two Grand Island women were sentenced Monday in federal court for possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute.

U.S. District Judge John M. Gerrard sentenced Tarra Arcos, 47, to 11 years in prison.

Her 67-year-old mother, Glenda Aguilar, received a 10-year sentence.

In March 2023, investigators bought meth from Aguilar at Arcos’ residence. Aguilar told the buyers that her daughter could get them more meth, authorities said.

The next day, authorities searched the home and found over 10 ounces of meth and about $66,000.

Mother and daughter each have a prior federal meth conviction.

After prison, they will spend eight years on supervised release. There is no parole in the federal system.

The $66,000 was forfeited to the government.
