Monday Morning Snow Chances, Cold Stretch Continues

Snowfall started the weekend off and looks to usher in the work week in southeast Nebraska as well. A Winter Weather Advisory will be in place starting early Monday morning, continuing through the afternoon.
The best chances for snowfall over 1-inch will be south of Interstate 80, with the highest snow totals likely in far southeast Nebraska.
Stormcast shows chances for snow beginning late tonight in southwest Nebraska, then working east across the state during the overnight hours. Snow is expected to impact the morning commute in Lincoln.
Forecast:
Frigid temperatures will continue heading into Sunday evening, with temperatures in the teens.
Lows tonight will be in the lower teens under mostly cloudy skies.
Chances for snow begin early Monday morning in Lincoln, with overnight lows in the middle teens.
We will try to get a few degrees warmer on Monday but most of us will not see above the middle 20s.
Snow showers early leading to mostly cloudy skies tomorrow afternoon. Highs in the Capital City will reach the middle 20s with a south-southwesterly wind.
Lows Monday night drop into the single digits before sunshine returns on Tuesday. Daytime temperatures will linger in the 20s and 30s, with Wednesday night looking to be the coldest temperatures we have seen in a while. Cloud cover is expected to increase as we head toward next weekend.
